This dumpster has looked this way every week for years! wanna know why? first it is too small, second, it has to hold the trash from 7 apts at the southwest corner of 3rd and lumber AND who knows how many apts. at the apt. building at the southeast corner of 3rd & lumber st. These 2 different landlords have somehow concocted a way for there to be only 1 dumpster for 2 parcels. Somebody is not paying their fare share of the trash fee. Just take a look around the back of the stone apt. building at the southeast corner of 3rd and lumber, there is no dumpster. I mentioned this to someone in city hall before and they just gave me a dumb stare.
And yes at the same apt. building I just mentioned there is a green car that has been parked there in the back for years, I think it has a flat tire too. I have been in this section of town too long not to notice things like this!

John - great point and there is a bigger issue here that you nailed and that is solid waste and who is paying for it. Right now we pay for 1 cubic yard of waste per week (6 32 gallons cans or 1 cubic yard = $295) a year. From speaking to the County Recycling Coordinator this is higher the other municipalities that only pay for .5 yard. If we did that then are yearly trash bill would in theory $150 +/- 5 a year. But they if we stay like this then slumlords and freeloaders are using empty cans to put there things in.
Side note: take a picture of the car with the tags from and back if you can and create a new post. What's the address.

I don't have a way to take a picture of the car but whoever took that excellent picture of the dumpster, if they would have just turned around from that spot that they were standing in for that picture they would see the green car I'm talking about. I 'm sure it hasn't moved, I will get the tag number and post it here.

Hard to believe but they must of moved the green car over the weekend! it has been there so long I didn't even look at it anymore. But the dumpster is definitely a problem.
